Greetings from The Black Caucus of the
Society for Research in
Child Development (SRCD)!
The Black Caucus of SRCD is an organization of
professionals representing a range of disciplines who are dedicated to promoting
the development and well-being of Black children. As a non-profit organization
within SRCD, we seek to: provide network opportunities for Black researchers and
those interested in conducting research on Black children’s development; build
capacity through professional development opportunities for emerging and
seasoned Black scholars and others interested in promoting Black child
development research in SRCD; interface with SRCD around representational
governance and committee memberships; promote child development research
generally and Black child development research specifically in research venues
nationally and globally; and connect with other organizations that are
interested in promoting child development research, policy, and programs
including advocacy to advance the well-being of all children.
The SRCD Black Caucus welcomes membership to persons who share our objectives.
Membership applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please explore our
